Abu Dhabi: The State of Qatar has assumed the rotational presidency of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) for the year 2015.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Energy and Industry said Qatar’s assumption of OAPEC presidency came after OAPEC’s 93rd session, held in Abu Dhabi. Qatar delegation to the meeting was led by the Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada.
According to the decision, as of the year 2015, the Minister of Energy and Industry will become the Chairman of the OAPEC’s Ministerial Council. QNA
