DOHA: The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage is planning to organise sports activities in celebration of the National Sports Day.
The proposed programme includes holding sport competitions in a number of youth centres affiliated to the ministry and sport matches between different ministry departments, in addition to special programmes for ladies.
This decision reflects the ministry’s belief in the importance of sports, and the constant efforts to make sports part of the community culture as a fundamental approach for the nation’s development.
A committee was formed following a decision by the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari.
