DOHA: The bilateral trade relations between Qatar and Mexico will be further strengthened going forward. Mexico really wants to see its products more in Qatar’s vibrant market, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto stated. He was addressing a high-profile event hosted by Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) in his honour.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Mexico, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal Minister of Economy, Mexico and Francisco Niembro, Ambassador of Mexico to Qatar. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, QBA Chairman, Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Al Thani, QBA Second Deputy Chairman, and QBA members attended the event.
The Mexican President invited the members of the QBA to visit Mexico to discuss investment projects on ground, highlighting the economic reforms pursued by his government in order to encourage foreign investment and improve the business climate in Mexico.
Sheikh Faisal said the visit of the Mexican President will help strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. In the evening, Sheikh Faisal hosted a dinner at his private museum.
Dr Sheikh Khalid said QBA is ready to explore the investment opportunities in Mexico and stimulate the economic relations.
