Officials from Volvo beside the first Volvo XC90 Recharge, a plug-in Hybrid electric vehicle.
Doha: Domasco, the distributor for Volvo cars in Qatar has sold the 1st Volvo XC90 Recharge a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) to a Qatari citizen. The XC90 recharge is a 7-seater SUV designed with a purpose for the planet and engineered for powerful driving. The XC90 recharge was purchased by Abdul Rahim Almushiri, making him the first person in Qatar to own this premium hybrid electric car from Volvo.
“I have been a long time Volvo customer and am very satisfied with the brand. When I read that Volvo has plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, I reached out to them for one for myself. Even though this is a hybrid vehicle, I intend to use only as an electric vehicle most of the time,” said Abdul Rahim Almushiri, the 1st customer for Volvo’s PHEV car in Qatar.
Volvo Cars is committed to becoming a premium electric car company and in the coming years, the company will launch several fully electric cars. By 2025, it aims for its global sales to consist of 50% fully electric cars, with the rest being hybrids.
