Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday stressed the importance of never obstructing Gaza-bound humanitarian aid, along with the full implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire accord in the enclave, as well as immediately embarking on Gaza redevelopment to make it vibrant and worthy of a dignified life.

During the celebration of the anniversary of Egyptian Police Day, El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt is moving full steam ahead toward the full implementation of the ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip and foreclosing any attempts to compromise this agreement, especially considering the colossal effort US President Donald Trump undertook to reach this accord.

The Sharm El‑Sheikh ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip bears witness to Egypt's efforts, alongside its partners, to uphold peace and stability, he underlined, stressing that the systematic practices against the Palestinian people in their occupied territory must stop, in addition to rejecting any attempts or moves to displace them from their homeland.

In this context, El-Sisi warned of the potential displacement of almost 2.5 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, as this would imply the elimination of the Palestinian cause and would definitely lead to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of them to Europe and Western nations, resulting in severe security, economic, and social consequences that no one could put up with.
