Doha: Doha Toastmasters club conducted their first online meeting, which lasted for 3 hours, celebrating Mothers’ Day, with more than 38 members and guests participating and benefitting from the event.
Doha Toastmasters regularly meet on the first and third Saturdays of every month at a prominent venue, but in view of the prevailing COVID19 conditions, it was unanimously decided to explore the possibility of online meeting.
All members were trained and initiated into the world of online meeting and continued their learning process in communication and leadership skills.
Zaher Saleh, TMOD, conducted the meeting. Prepared speeches were delivered by Vasundhara, Jayant, Khalid Mohamed, Jayraj and Faisal, evaluated by Akash, Nidhin, Sunilkumar, Sithmini and Namrata.
Table Topics Master Yaser Al Deisi came up with innovative topics on the theme. General Evaluator was Yoosaf Vannarath.
An on-line voting elected Khalid Mohamed as the Best Speaker, Sunilkumar, the Best Evaluator and Rajeswar the Best Table topics speaker.
Earlier Club President, Jayakumar Menon opened the meeting and welcomed the members and guest to the first ever on-line meeting.
