Dreama organises entertainment day

Doha: The Orphan Care Center ‘Dreama’ organised an entertainment day for the centre’s affiliates, where various entertainment events, competitions and activities were held, with view to strengthening social ties. 

The day witnessed an atmosphere of familiarity, love, interrelationship and team spirit. Dreama entertainment day held at the centre is aimed at instilling in children confidence through practising the profession of trade and selling in the “bazaar” and to entertain them during the spring break, besides practising their favourite hobbies and discovering their creativity and talents.

Dreama Acting Executive Director, Al Anoud Hassan Darwish, stressed the importance of such activities for children to strengthen their confidence, develop their skills and acquire new knowledge. She noted that orphans are an integral part of the society, this is why Dreama seeks to consolidate the principle of community integration and achieve the centre’s vision and mission to provide comprehensive services of high quality in all social and psychological aspects through organising these activities and events. Dreama is keen on providing health, educational, and recreational care for its children.

Al Anoud indicated that the centre provides all convenient means and distinguished quality services for its affiliates to live in an atmosphere of joy and happiness, besides stressing the need to enhance social communication between the centre’s affiliates and service providers.

She also expressed her thankfulness and appreciation to all the active and interested collaborators and supporters of Dreama for their continuous efforts and support, both from government and private agencies and volunteers.  

The idea of ​​the entertainment day focused on trade so that the affiliates possess commercial skills and discover their talents in this aspect. A number of booths were prepared and distributed to the participating children to sell their products in the form of a bazaar. The shops included cafe, restaurant, art shop, creativity shop, beauty shop, and fashion shop, among others.

The programme also included a variety of motor games in the form of a carnival, in addition to presenting various competitions and distributing gifts to bring joy and happiness in the hearts of Dreama children.
