Indian envoy to open IMF photo exhibition today

DOHA: A photo exhibition and competition showcasing over 100 photographs will open today at a specially arranged gallery at Quality Centre on Airport Road. 

Held under the theme ‘Qatar’s Culture and Heritage’, the exhibition will be inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to Qatar Sanjiv Arora while Security Media Head of PR Department of Interior Ministry Captain Mubarak Salim will be the chief guest. 

The exhibition will showcase works of 30 professional and amateur photographers. 

The event is organised by the by Indian Media Forum (IMF, Qatar), the collective body of Indian journalists in Qatar, in association with the Quality Group. 

A special section at the exhibition will portray the growth and progress of the Qatar Police Department arranged by the Public Relations Department under the Qatar Interior Ministry.   

The exhibition will be held from 7.30pm to 10.30pm today and from 9am to 10pm tomorrow and on Saturday. 

An expert panel of judges will select the winners and award cash prizes. The best three photos in the exhibition category, selected by the visitors, would also win commendations and certificates.
