Infant and primary pupils from the Gulf English School celebrated the end of their Spring term with an annual musical concert, featuring English and Arabic songs from around the world. More than 200 children performed in front of the school community, parents and family members. Infant pupils sang in English and Arabic, including the song Let it Go, from the film Frozen, while primary pupils sang songs from across the world, many featuring instrumental accompaniments also performed by the students. The finale was a beautiful rendition by Year 6 girls of Edelweiss, from the musical The Sound of Music.
The concert songs are also included on a CD compilation recently produced by the school of all the primary pupils’ musical talents. All profits from the sale of the CD will be donated by GES to animal charity Second Chance. The Peninsula
