KATARA: Qatar Stars League officially launched its fanzone at Katara on Thursday evening ahead of the much anticipated Qatar Cup which kicks off today.
Al Rayyan captain Rodrigo Tabata was joined by Al Sadd players Saad Al Sheeb and Hassan Haydoos.
The interactive fan zone offers fans of football to take part in a host of fun, family friendly activities with a distinctive emphasis on healthy living. The QSL starts also took part in the activities and had an opportunity to have a photo with the famous Qatar Cup trophy.
The Katara Fan Zone will run from 5pm-9:30pm every day until April 26. Fans will also have the chance to win prizes by sharing their pictures on social media, along with the chance to buy tickets for the tournament, starting at QAR 10.
Speaking at the launch, Al Sadd winger Hassan Haydoos said that he is looking forward to the competition.
“The Qatar Cup is an important competition not only for the fans but the players to, the Fan Zone is a great way to find out about the competition and enjoy the activities on offer,” he said.
Al Rayan take on Lekhiwya at Al Sadd stadium, (KO 7.15pm) in opener and the second semifinal will kick off at 7.15 tomorrow, when El Jaish take on Al Sadd at the same venue. The winners will then play on the April 29 final at same venue. Kick off will be at 7.15pm and tickets are now available via QSL.com.qa
