Doha: The Foreign Minister H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah yesterday participated in the International Economic Forum being held in the Russian city of St Petersburg.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency, Dr Al Attiyah, on a two-day visit to Russia, stressed that Qatar had a privileged relationship with Russia, based on mutual respect and cooperation in different fields. He said the forum provides an important platform to crystalise partnerships and exchange views on issues of mutual interest. Held under the theme ‘Sustaining Confidence in a World Undergoing Transformation’, the three-day forum was opened by President Vladimir Putin and is addressing global challenges.
Dr Al Attiyah also met his Russian Counterpart Sergey Lavrov and discussed relations and issues of mutual concern.
