Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the opening of its new branch at one of Qatar’s largest shopping destinations – Doha Festival City. The new branch will have extended working hours throughout the week and will operate from Saturday to Thursday from 9am am to 2.30 pm, from 3.30pm to 9pm and from 4pm to 9pm on Friday.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the branch will be open Saturday to Thursday from 10.30 am to 2.30pm and 9pm to 11.30pm. On Fridays, it will operate from 9pm to 11.30pm.
Doha Festival City is the latest addition to a thriving retail industry and it is strategically located in the north of Doha with direct access from Al Shamal and Lusail roads, Doha Festival City is a highly accessible destination and will be home to over 500 stores, ranging from day-to-day shopping to the most luxurious of high end fashion.

Our investment in expanding our footprint in the country comes as part of our commitment to serve this demand and offer our diverse customer base a full range of premium Sharia-compliant products and services,” said D. QIB’s Bank and Shop service will also be available at Doha Festival City, allowing customers to enjoy their time at the mall until an SMS informs them that it is their turn to be served. The new service has been unveiled across all QIB Mall branches including Q-Mall, City Center, Dar Al Salam, Gate Mall and Mall of Qatar.
The opening of the Doha Festival City branch takes QIB’s branch network to 30 retail branches, supported by 12 dedicated ladies centers, 9 Tamayuz (affluent) centers and 2 private banking lounges following QIB segmentation plan to provide customized service to its different clientele.
Recently QIB has launched its first Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), titled “Live Teller” at its Al Gharafa Branch in Q-Mall. Live Teller is a video-based interactive technology that allows customers to conduct transactions and banking services driven by a centrally based teller, in a highly engaging real time video/audio interaction. The initiative will start in a single location and will make its way into other locations all over Qatar expanding the Bank’s footprint and retail distribution network.
The Doha Festival City branch incorporates the new design’s philosophy that QIB has been implementing across its branches. This new design philosophy brings a modern interpretation of the traditional Islamic values of purity, simplicity and transparency. In addition to that, the branch includes ATM and Cash Deposit machine for withdrawing and depositing cash and cheques. Such services complement the Bank’s innovative e-banking channels and award-winning 24/7 customer service call center.
