Doha, Qatar: In preparation for the upcoming Hajj season, Saudi Arabia has completed a series of enhancements to facilitate the pilgrimage and ensure maximum safety, as previously announced by the Saudi Hajj Committee.

The project, overseen by Kidana Development Company, aims to make the journey as comfortable and safe as possible for all pilgrims.

Key developments and renovations include:

  • Complete renovation of the Hajj Trail, covering an area of 170,000 square meters
  • Installation of 2,400 cooled water dispensers along pedestrian pathways
  • Installation of 103,000 square meters of rubberized flooring to prevent slipping
  • An addition of 15,000 square meters of green spaces to reduce heat and provide natural cooling
  • Construction of multiple shaded areas to protect pilgrims from direct sunlight
  • Installation of 14 retail stations along the route
  • Establishment of 71 first aid centers and 3 emergency response centers to enhance medical readiness
  • Installation of 500 misting fans in Mina to help lower temperatures
  • Creation of rest areas covering 31,000 square meters, including approximately 385 seating zones.
  • Installation of 780 drinking water stations and 240 mobile charging stations
  • Completion of a new emergency hospital in Mina, spanning 5,300 square meters, to handle urgent medical cases.
  • Installation of 32 escalators to improve the flow of pedestrian traffic

These enhancements reflect Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to ensuring a safe, efficient, and spiritually enriching experience for all pilgrims during Hajj 2025.
