Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Paul Kagame, President of the friendly Republic of Rwanda, discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them, during a meeting held at the Amiri Diwan today, May 24, 2026.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Amir welcomed the Rwandan President, praising the strong relations between the two friendly countries in various fields of cooperation, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries.
For his part, the President of Rwanda expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, stressing his country’s keenness to develop and strengthen friendly relations with the State of Qatar in all areas.
His Highness the Amir and His Excellency the President reviewed the developments in the region and the latest regional and international developments, with a view to strengthen international peace and security.
The meeting was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials.
On the Rwandan side, a number of Their Excellencies, members of the official delegation, were present.
