Doha, Qatar: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index jumped by 2.28% at the start of Sunday's trading, gaining 236.27 points to reach 10,615 points, compared to the previous session's close.
QSE figures attributed the rise in the general index to the positive performance of the Insurance sector, which gained 0.39%, Telecoms 0.81%, Consumer Goods and Services 1.05%, Real Estate 1.71%, Industries 1.83%, Transport 2.61%, and Banks and Financial Services 2.86%.
At 10:00 AM, QSE recorded 5200 transactions worth QR 133.095 million, distributed across 66.724 million shares.
