Muscat: HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, received on Wednesday HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
At the start of the meeting, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings and well wishes of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to HM the Sultan of Oman, for His Majesty's continued health and happiness, and for the brotherly Omani people's continued progress and prosperity.
For his part, HM the Sultan of Oman asked HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing him continued health and happiness, and the Qatari people further development and growth.
During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them in various fields that serves their common interests and benefits their brotherly peoples.
The latest regional developments were also discussed, particularly the diplomatic efforts to promote security and stability in the region, following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
