QR1m aid convoy sent to refugees from CAR

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC), in collaboration with Organization of Islamic Dawa’s Office in Doha, dispatched an aid convoy to support refugees from Central African Republic (CAR) at the Seydou camp bordering with Chad.
The relief worth QR1m will benefit about 20,000 people.
 Last week, QC sent an aid convoy carrying 140 tonnes of food items to provide basic requirements to refugees during Ramadan. It was distributed to over 4,000 refugee families who were fleeing the unrest in their country, QC said in a statement.
 QC, in cooperation with Organisation of Islamic Dawa’s Office in Doha, seek to improve the living conditions of the refugees and provide them with care besides implementing educational, water and sanitation projects worth over QR250,000. QC said it will build six furnished class rooms and provide 400 school bags for children. QNA
