Beirut: The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) stopped broadcasting news, announcing an open strike due to living conditions.

NNA commented in a statement that "in furtherance to the statement of the General Assembly of the Ministry of Information employees last Thursday and the announcement of the two-day warning strike, and after the living conditions pain reached a point that no one can afford anymore, the National News Agency regrets to announce the start of the open strike, in the hope silence, for the first time in its history, would be more eloquent than its voice, which has always filled the media space and was the main source of news certainty throughout Lebanon".

The agency reiterated that it "found itself forced to strike due to the growing mountain of difficulties that its work team is still digging with the needle of patience, and because of the aggravation of crises that prevent the alignment between responsible job sense and the ability to reach the work center".
