Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the country's largest data center and artificial intelligence (AI) cloud facility, Sky47 Karakoram One, here on Friday.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the inaugural ceremony of Sky47 in Rawalpindi.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Sharif described the project as a major milestone toward a dynamic, progressive and prosperous Pakistan, saying it would strengthen the country's technological capabilities and digital infrastructure.
He said the facility would support Pakistan's future development by providing secure digital infrastructure and promoting advanced technologies, including AI and cloud computing.
Sharif said government institutions would be integrated with the new infrastructure to improve public services and accelerate digital transformation.
