MES conducts teachers’ orientation programme

Doha: Adhering to the norms of COVID-19 protocol, and as per the directives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, MES Indian School is all set to reopen after the summer break ensuring 50% of students attending blended learning with rotational attendance. 

With the intention of giving adequate instructions to teachers regarding blended learning, and the latest modifications brought in the assessment and evaluation process by the CBSE, the school had organised a two-day in-service session cum orientation programme for the teachers on August 22 and 23, 2021. 

The school Principal, Hameeda Kadar, in her inaugural address congratulated the teachers for producing excellent results in Classes X and XII CBSE Board Examinations 2021 and expressed her sincere appreciation for the resilience as well as the unstinting support extended by the parents in conducting all the academic progammes successfully. 

She also urged the teachers to reinvent themselves in terms of assuming greater roles in preparing students to the expectations of the world and to update teaching strategies.

The two-day orientation programme on professional development also witnessed interactive sessions, in which teachers enthusiastically participated in various enriching activities pertaining to scholastic and co-scholastic domains to enhance their classroom interactions besides receiving guidance and pointers for effective curriculum transaction. 

The programme also witnessed the introduction of newly appointed teachers and sessions by the heads of sections and the coordinators briefing teachers on the new pattern of CBSE assessments for Grades IX to XII and the introduction of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

A total of 304 teachers attended the two-day orientation programme.
