Doha: The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Qatar has evacuated 18 Sri Lankans from Kabul to Doha, and repatriated them to Sri Lanka on Monday night, August 23.
This came in an announcement by the Embassy on social media as it shared photos of the evacuees in the airport going back to Sri Lanka.
18 Sri Lankans evacuated from Kabul to Doha, were repatriated to Sri Lanka last night. Embassy provided consular & logistics assistance to ensure their safe return. In a statement, the Sri Lanka Embassy in Qatar said: "We extend our sincere appreciation to the concerned Qatar authorities for their invaluable assistance towards this endeavor."
