Doha,Qatar: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index edged down 0.07% at the start of trading on Monday, losing 6.77 points to reach 9,681.
QSE data showed gains in the Transportation sector, which rose 0.38%, and the Banks and Financial Services sector, which gained 0.08%.
The market was weighed down by declines in five sectors: Industrials, which fell 0.61%; Consumer Goods and Services, down 0.47%; Insurance, down 0.19%; Real Estate, down 0.19%; and Telecoms, which declined 0.15%.
By 10am, trading value stood at QR 50.649 million, with 29.126 million shares changing hands through 2,689 transactions, according to QSE data.
