SCH in search of firm to manage health insurance company

DOHA: The National Health Insurance Company (NHIC) will be set up next month to monitor the implementation of the proposed health insurance scheme in the country. 

The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) is looking for a third party from private sector for management of the company.

The third party will make the subscriptions and receive the requests to be submitted by the medical services providers. The price list of the services will be also prepared for the experimental period.

SHC is working out with the health services providers to implement the international scheme of health coding for diseases to prepare the health institutions to enforce new health insurance policy, Al Sharq reported yesterday. The company is 100 percent owned by the SCH.
