50 delegates participate in GCC risk analysis workshop

DOHA: About 50 delegates from Qatar and other GCC states are attending a training workshop on ‘Risk analysis and preparing scenarios of contingency plans and mock drills’ which began at Hilton Hotel yesterday.

The workshop is organised by the Permanent Committee for Emergency (PCE) in collaboration with the Arabian Centre for Information Technology, Consultancies and Training.. 

The Director of Traffic Department and member of the PCE, Brigadier Mohammad Saad Al Kharji, delivered the inaugural speech on behalf of the Director General of Public Security and Chairman of the PCE, Staff Maj Gen Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi.

“The Permanent Committee for Emergency will conduct workshops and training courses in cooperation with national and international authorities according to its annual programme schedule. 

“The workshop will increase participants’ knowledge, skills and information, especially in the field of risk management and analysis, preparation of scenarios and other important topics which will be discussed,” said Al Kharji.

The workshop is discussing topics such as identifying possible and expected risks in work, clarification of elements that may expose to risks, assessment and evaluation of appropriate procedures and writing and reviewing results.The Peninsula
