Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on his kingdom’s National Day.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable.
Vienna: Qatar and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime on Monday signed an agreement to host the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Qatar at Qatar National Convention Centre on during on April 12-19, 2015. The deal was signed by Qatari Ambassador and permanent delegate to the UN and international organisations in Vienna, Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, and UNODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for hosting the conference Dr Ahmed Hassan Al Hammadi. The congress is held every five years. Over 5,000 delegates are expected to attend.
Doha: Real estate transactions during September 14-18 registered at the Ministry of Justice were worth QR660,849,178, the Real Estate Registration Department said in its weekly report. Properties included open plots, two-floor villas, annex and houses in Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Daayen and Al Wakra. QNA
