Doha: Hamad Bin Khalifa University will host an informational session on September 28 for Harvard Law School’s Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP) Workshop to be held on January 3-10 next year at HBKU Student Centre in Education City.
The workshop is an intensive residential programme for junior faculty, doctoral and post-doctoral scholars developing innovative ideas and alternative approaches to issues of global law, economic policy, and social justice. Previously, the workshop attracted over 100 scholars and senior IGLP faculty from around the world. Building on the success of the two previous years, the workshop 2015 will again welcome young policy professionals, who are neither academics nor scholars, from Qatar and the region, to its Young Policy Professionals (YPP) programme.
YPP professionals will explore policy and governance processes and challenges with workshop faculty during afternoon discussions.
The session will provide details on the application process, IGLP workshop, and the YPP programme. It will be held at Cinema Theatre of centre from 4pm to 5.30pm. Those interested are invited to confirm their attendance at http://www.hbku.edu.qa/iglp.
More information on the workshop is available at http://www.harvardiglp.org/iglp-the-workshop/.
