The Katara gallery of used books opened yesterday. The opening ceremony was attended by Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, and Khalid Al Sayed, Editor-in -Chief of The Peninsula newspaper, among other dignitaries. The gallery will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday will continue until April 2015. The gallery is aimed at fostering the culture of reading by lending out books to readers. Katara officials urged citizens, residents and institutions to donate used books by contacting Katara on telephone No. 666444031 or delivering books at the Cultural Village headquarters building No. 22.
