Cairo: Qatar participated in the meeting of Permanent Representatives to the League of Arab States, held yesterday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The meeting discussed the ongoing preparations and arrangements for the 10th meeting of Permanent Representatives to the League and Ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union (EU), scheduled to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on November 4.
Maryam Ahmed Al Shaibi, acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, headed the State of Qatar’s delegation to the meeting. The meeting aims to deepen relations between Arab and European Union countries and enhance mechanisms of joint cooperation.
The Permanent Representatives were briefed on the latest developments of preparations for the meeting scheduled to be held in Brussels and discussed the press statement to be adopted in this regard. During the meeting, the permanent representatives expressed their aspiration to advance joint cooperation to broader horizons in the future.
