DOHA: The Civil Defence on Saturday rescued a woman who was trying to commit suicide by jumping out the window of a building in Town Centre in Markhiya.
The Ministry of Interior received a call around 8.40pm about a Filipina trying to jump off a building. The Civil Defence team reached the spot immediately and started the rescue with one team climbing to the third floor and the other laying out a sponge mattress on the ground to cushion the woman’s fall.
The team broke into the flat and rescued the woman who was taken into custody.
