Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center held a lecture titled “Childhood in Islam” at Cambridge International School, where students engaged actively with its various themes.
This lecture comes as part of the school visit programme coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Throughout the current year, the programme has successfully connected with schools and organised several activities that received strong student interaction, with topics selected in coordination with the schools to meet their needs.
The lecturer discussed several concepts related to children’s rights in Islam, the Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) treatment of children and how he interacted with them, as well as key educational principles followed in dealing with children in Islam.
Organising this lecture aligns with the center’s efforts to collaborate with various institutions in the country to enhance value-based and behavioural awareness among children and youth, and to contribute to educational awareness, which represents one of the fundamental pillars of the learning process.
