DOHA: Qatar University (QU) recently became a founding intellectual partner of the new World Bank Global Forum for Law, Justice and Development (GFLJD).
QU President Prof Sheikha Abdulla Al Misnad formally signed the Joint Declaration and Statement of Commitment during the GFLJD legal week held at the Bank’s HQ in Washington recently, placing the university as the first Arab academic institution to join the forum.
The forum comprises 111 partners worldwide and serves as a platform for financial and academic institutions and international organisations to exchange information, examine current trends in legal and justice reform, and support developing countries in their efforts to build the rule of law.
QU College of Law associate professor Dr Yaser Khalaileh will act as QU representative to the Global Forum.
