Doha: Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met yesterday with Deputy Secretary, International Security, Legal and Consular Group, in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Commonwealth of Australia H E Craig Maclachlan, who is visiting the country.
They discussed cooperation between the two countries and developments in the Gaza Strip. Al Khulaifi stressed the necessity of continuing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and strengthening regional and international efforts aimed at an immediate ceasefire.
For his part, the Deputy Secretary, International Security, Legal and Consular Group, in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Commonwealth of Australia expressed his country’s appreciation for the Qatari mediation efforts for the release of prisoners.
He also thanked Qatar for its efforts in evacuating Australian citizens from the Gaza Strip.
