Public entertainment events at Katara continue throughout the tournament.
Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara’s events accompanying the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 attract large numbers of visitors daily. Events include artistic, cultural, heritage and sports activities throughout the football tournament, providing the visitors an exciting tour, enjoyable experience, and a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere.
On the other hand, the public also praised Katara’s activities because of its richness, creativity and diversity, expressing their happiness at attending every day.
Meanwhile, a musical evening was held at the Katara Oud Center recently, performed by Syrian artist Retaj Walid and oud player, artist Riad Boualam, under the title “Levantine Songs". Walid expressed her happiness at participating in the singing evening held by the Katara Oud Center as part of Katara’s activities accompanying the Asian Cup Qatar 2023. She expressed her deep pleasure at the large attendance and great interaction from the audience who interacted with joy and singing, praising Katara’s efforts to revive the heritage and consolidate it in the country.
In the same context, Katara Oud Center will host a singing evening between 7:30pm and 8:30pm today, performed by artist Rehab Malouk. The heritage tent of the Qatari Al Gannas Society will also host, from 6pm to 10pm, from January 23 to February 11, an artistic evening performed by the rebab player Salah Al Shamayleh.
Poetry had a distinctive presence this Wednesday evening in Katara’s programming accompanying the Asian Cup, with a distinguished poetry evening presented by Yemeni poet Abdul Rahman Abdullah Al Ahdal in Building 15 in the presence of distinguished lovers of the word.
For the second time in Katara Cultural Village after participating during the World Cup, Brazilian Ricardinho achieved a new record of playing with the ball without dropping it for 49 consecutive hours. Ricardinho expressed his happiness with this new record, which is added to his record of sporting challenges.
