Doha: Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen is taking part in the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition 2014 in partnership with Al Majed Jewellery.
IWC Friend of the Brand and Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton will open the exhibition by test driving the Mercedes AMG Petronas simulator.
The simulator will be presented at the IWC booth at Qatar National Convention Centre between February 26 and March 2.
Karoline Huber, Brand Director, IWC Middle East and India, and Jamil Al Majed, Vice-Chairman of Al Majed Jewellery, will host an exclusive event with Hamilton as special guest.
“IWC is proud to be present at the exhibition for the second time and we are pleased to welcome our Friend of the Brand Lewis Hamilton to the region,” Huber said.
As one of the highlights of the exhibition, IWC Schaffhausen will host Mercedes AMG Petronas simulator which Hamilton will start with a virtual race and set the fastest lap time.
Between February 26 and March 2, the simulator will present visitors to the Ingenieur-themed IWC booth with the opportunity to compete against Hamilton and get as close as possible to experiencing the feeling of driving on a Formula 1 track.
IWC Schaffhausen became the official engineering partner of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team at the beginning of 2013.
