Doha, Qatar: Strong defensive performances marked matches in the third edition of the Al Thumama Ramadan Tournament on Monday night at Al Furjan Stadium in Al Thumama.
The tournament is being held in cooperation with the Qatar Sports for All Federation.
Only three goals were scored across three matches, reflecting the disciplined approach adopted by the participating teams in the competition for players aged 10 to 14.
Al Sha’ab secured a 2-1 victory over Al Dafna in the opening match of the day. Saif Al Darwish delivered a standout performance for Al Shaab and was named Man of the Match.
The second fixture ended in a goalless draw between Palestine and Al Waab. Zakaria Al Najjar of Palestine received the Man of the Match award for his efforts.

Another goalless draw followed in the third match, as Al Shahania and Medical Care shared the points. Jassim Ali Al Saadi of Medical Care was named Man of the Match.
Tournament director Youssef Abdul Nour presented the individual awards following the matches.
The third edition features 13 teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Doha, Turki Bin Abdullah, Al Wajba, Al Zaeem, Al Rayyan and Al Thumama. Group B comprises Al Dafna, Al Shaab, Al Waab, Medical Care, Palestine, Al Shaqab and Al Shahaniya.
Three matches are being played daily as the tournament progresses.
