Doha: The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani expressed regret over the resignation of Muaz Al Khatib from the presidency of National Coalition for Opposition Forces and the Syrian Revolution.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that Al Khatib would reconsider his resignation because it came at a very delicate time. He revealed that talks were going on to convince Al Khatib to withdraw his resignation, particularly as preparations were ongoing to have Syria represented in the Arab Summit. The Prime Minister called on the Syrians to seize the opportunity after all their sacrifices in the last two years.
