Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud has praised the efforts made by the delegations of the Sudanese government and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) which resulted in the signing of an agreement of the basis of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, yesterday.
Al Mahmoud said this agreement covered most of the issues of interest to the two sides, expressing pleasure over what has been achieved. He thanked the two sides for their efforts to reach this agreement and expressed special thanks to the JEM for its cooperation and keenness on reaching peace and their agreement to accept the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur.
