Doha: International dental expert Professor Johann de Vries (pictured) has been appointed as Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
He has 30 years of dentistry experience functioning in clinical, education and senior leadership roles.
“Prof de Vries’ extensive background in dental leadership, education and practice, coupled with strong dedication to his patients and solid knowledge of the region, uniquely positions him to lead the department,” said Hanan Al Kuwari, Managing Director, HMC.
“His appointment is part of our commitment to establish opportunities to share world-class knowledge among our clinicians to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.” He most recently held the position of Dean at University of Adelaide’s School of Dentistry, Australia.
The department is based in Rumailah Hospital and the OPD Annex.The Peninsula
