Doha: A meeting to promote religious freedom and inter-religion cooperation within the framework of the follow-up initiative of ‘Istanbul 16/18 to combat intolerance and discrimination based on religion’ began at the Marriott Hotel Doha yesterday.
It brings together representatives of 50 countries to discuss issues concerned with religious freedom for all and share experiences.
They will also present attitudes and experiences of governments and religious dialogue institutions and challenges in the protection of religious freedom.
Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Board Chairman of Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue, delivered the keynote opening address. QNA
