Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud yesterday met former US president Jimmy Carter, who is also Founder of Carter Centre, and his delegation. Talks dealt with issues of joint interest.
Abu Dhabi: The third meeting of the GCC Risk Management Committee began yesterday under the chairmanship of Brigadier Abdullah Mohamed Al Suwaidi, Director, General Directorate of Civil Defence. Brigadier Al Suwaidi praised the GCC General Secretariat’s preparations for the meeting. The meeting ends today.

The wind direction will be northwesterly, turning northeasterly by night, with speeds ranging from 15 to 18 knots. Doha is likely to witness a minimum temperature of 17 degrees C at night, while the day will be hotter with the mercury soaring to 29 degrees.
