Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent cables of condolences and sympathy to the Interim President of Bangladesh Mohammed Abdul Hamid, on the victims of the commercial building collapse incident which took place on the outskirts of the capital, Dhaka.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani has also sent a similar cable to the interim president of Bangladesh.
Unstable weather may bring rains
DOHA: The Meteorology Department has forecast strong winds and scattered rains today with the country expected to experience a new wave of unstable weather conditions over the coming week.
This condition will be marked by an increase in cloud formation resulting in rains and thunderstorm at times. This is expected to continue until the end of next week, the department said yesterday.
The department has warned of strong dust winds and high seas today. The northwesterly to northeasterly winds would blow at speeds ranging from 8 to 20 knots inshore and 15 to 25 knots offshore. Temperature is Doha would hover between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Kahramaa to move Al Khor Service Centre
DOHA: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation Kahramaa has announced that its Al Khor Service Centre will be moved to Farkia Beach, Street No. 910, Zone 74 of the town from next week.
The office will be functional next week from April 28.
The service centre will be open from Sunday to Thursday between 6.30am and 2.30pm. The new premises are equipped with a number of facilities to support customers and employees. The Peninsula
