DOHA: The Youth Company (TYC) yesterday announced that top-ranked Dutch based internship agency Buitenlandsestage.nl has become its registered partner in the Netherlands.
TYC is collaborating with the Dutch company to encourage exchange of human capital from Europe to Qatar for internship purpose.
Founded in 2001 in Amsterdam Netherlands, Buitenlandsestage.nl has been organizing customised internships abroad for younger people looking to travel and explore different cultures while interning.
“Qatar is a place that fascinates many young professionals so we appreciate our partnership with TYC and the opportunity to place students in Qatar. We are assisting companies from around the world that are looking for younger professionals and we will be able to provide Qatar with young and enthusiastic candidates through TYC,” said Orphé Rijssel, CEO and Foreign Accounts Manager of Buitenlandsestage.nl.
Promoting and implementing bilateral agreements with renowned international internship agencies such as Buitenlandsestage.nl will encourage inflow of human capital to the country.
“We believe that this new initiative will provide interns from other parts of the world with the opportunity to experience another culture in an in-depth and exciting way and such experience often prepare them for a career in the 21st Century globalised marketplace,” said Mohamed Farid, Founder and Chairman of The Youth Company.
TYC has already accepted a Serbian intern as part of the agreement. Svetlana Obucina was living with her family in Pancero city when she found the Dutch internship provider online while searching for a firm in the GCC for her apprenticeship.
“In the final phase of my master’s degree I felt the need to gain more practical knowledge and experience in the work field. Whilst I was searching for internship agency, I came across Team Buitenlandsestage.nl website and decided to register with them. After two months I got internship offer from TYC. I accepted the offer and currently I am working as a Program Development Intern”, she said.
