Al Haydos wins Player of the Year award

RIGHT Al Ahli’s Congolese striker Alain Dioko with the top goal scorer prize. Dioko, emerged as the top scorer in QSL for the second time in a row.

DOHA:  Al Sadd striker Hassan Al Haydos yesterday was named the Player of the Year at a glittering Qatar Stars League (QSL) season-ending ceremony.
Al Haydos played key roles for Qatar national team and in Al Sadd winning the Emir Cup on Saturday.  Lekhwiya coach Michael Laudrup was named ‘Coach of the Year’. 
Laudrup, from Denmark, guided Lekhwiya to QSL title and the Qatar Cup triumph.
Abdulrahman Harazi was named Best Young Player of the Year. Harazi who plays for Al Sailiyah is a 21-year-old.
Al Ahli’s Congolese striker Alain Dioko emerged as the top scorer in QSL for the second time in a row.
Qatar Sports Club was named as the best side. The new QSL season will commence in September.The Peninsula
