Doha: To introduce Eid al-Adha and the Qatari traditions associated with it, the women’s section of the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised a variety of activities aimed at educating non-Arabic-speaking women about this special season.

The women’s section held its “Morning Coffee” programme with the participation of 31 women.

The programme discussed the meaning and significance of Eid al-Adha, as well as the most prominent Qatari customs and traditions connected to the occasion.

The section also organised several lectures for women focusing on the importance of remembering Allah and striving in righteous deeds during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.

The lectures highlighted the importance of remembrance of Allah, as it brings tranquility, spreads peace of mind, and enhances psychological comfort for believers, with dozens of women attending these sessions.

Regarding the Arabic language and its civilizational significance, the women’s section organised an educational programme on the importance of the Arabic language, attended by 18 women.

The participants spent two continuous hours in introductory and educational tours at the center, where they learned about various aspects of the importance of the Arabic language in both Islamic and human civilization alike.
