Over 400 students participate in Qatar Shell’s NXplorers 2025-26

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Shell has announced the successful conclusion of the NXplorers 2025-26 season, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and High Education (MoEHE).

The final was held at the MoEHE headquarters, where students showcased their technical and critical thinking skills.

This season’s programme engaged 426 students from 18 preparatory schools across Qatar. Throughout the year, students participated in intensive workshops, employing ‘NXthinking’ to collaboratively address critical societal issues.

MoEHE Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Maha Al-Ruwaili, said, “We are committed to fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking among our students. The NXplorers programme helps to equip young minds with the skills and knowledge necessary to address the complex challenges of the future. We are proud to support initiatives that inspire creativity and problem-solving, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact these young innovators will have on our society."

Deputy General Manager of Shell Qatar, Rashid Majid Al Sulaiti, highlighted the magnificent achievements of all the students involved: “Congratulations to all students who completed the NXplorers programme. Your ideas, energy and problem-solving have been outstanding, showing what is possible when young people are empowered to think differently.” First prize was awarded to the students from Hind Bint Otba Preparatory school for girls who clinched the top prize for their project Named Green Loop is developing an integrated environmental ecosystem, featuring a smart waste-sorting container that converts waste into compost.

The Top Teachers Award was presented to Majdi Keir Alden and Shaima Mountaser. The top facilitators award was presented to Abdulla Khalil and Rahma Al Rabie.
