Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a phone call on Thursday with the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela HE Delcy Rodríguez.
During the call, His Highness expressed the State of Qatar's solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its people following the two earthquakes that struck several regions of the country. He affirmed Qatar's support for Venezuela and its readiness to provide all necessary assistance to contribute to relief and rescue efforts and mitigate the effects of the disaster.
For her part, the Acting President of Venezuela expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to HH the Amir for his sincere sentiments and the supportive stance of the State of Qatar, noting that this solidarity reflects the depth of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
The call also included a review of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance it, as well as discussions on a number of issues of common interest.
