DOHA: It will be hot a windy day today, with humidity levels forecast to vary between 20 percent and 55 percent and day temperatures soaring up to 47 degrees Celsius in some places.
Mesaieed and Al Wakra, according to the weather bureau, will witness temperatures up to 47 degrees Celsius, becoming the hottest places.
In Doha and Al Khor, the maximum temperature forecast for today is two notches less at 45 degrees Celsius.
Al Ruwais in the north will be the coolest place in the country with mercury rising up to 38 degrees Celsius.
The wind direction will be northwesterly with speeds varying between 10 knots and 20 knots per hour and at times reaching up to 25 knots.
The humidity is, however, forecast to come down to quite low levels (between 10 percent and 14 percent) tomorrow and will continue to be so for two to three days. July 19 has been the most humid day so far with levels reaching up to 83 percent.
July 18 was also humid, although the level had plummeted 10 notches to 73 percent, the weather forecasters said.
