Doha: Elite Force Choudhary CC beat Doha CC by six wickets and Al-Feroz Youngsters CC also inflicted a six-wicket defeat on Wings Doha CC during the semi-finals of the Ramadan Tournamnet at West End Park Stadium on Wednesday.
In the first semi-final, Doha CC won the toss and elected to bat. They posted 135/9 in the stipulated 20 overs. H. Tanveer (44 runs) and Khurram (37) were in fine form with the bat.
Elite Force bowlers Bilawal and Khalid scalped three wickets apiece.
Elite Force had a competitive total to chase but Salman Butt was in fine form and blasted 62 not out to win the Man-of-the-Match award. Iqbal also contributed with 27 runs for his side that went on to score 137/4 in 19 overs.
In the second semi-final, Wings Doha CC won the toss and elected to bat hitting. They set a target of 145/6. Zaid Ustad put in another great performance with 54 runs with Sri Lanka International Dilhara chipping in 28. Inam (1) and Naveed (2) were among the wicket takers for Al Feroz.
Al-Feroz were aggressive from the start when they came out to bat. The big-scoring Boota hit 64 and won the Man-of-the-Match prize. Inam was also in good form, thumping 44 runs to take Al Feroz to 148/4 in 16 overs. Dilhara (1) and Arvind (2) were the pick of the Wings bowlers.
