Muscat: Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi stressed during a phone call on Tuesday with his Swedish counterpart Tobias Billstrom, the importance of putting an end to acts of incitement that call for hatred, violence, or discrimination against beliefs.
During the phone call, Al Busaidi denounced the practices of desecrating a copy of the Holy Qur'an by some extremists recently in Sweden.
The two ministers concurred on the importance of upholding values of cross-cultural dialogue, tolerance and respect among peoples.
