Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has held a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss the latest developments in the region.
According to officials, the two ministers reviewed the current regional situation and stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation amid ongoing tensions.
They also underlined the need to intensify efforts to reduce escalation, contain regional tensions, and safeguard the security of vital maritime routes in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea.
The ministers said such efforts were essential to achieving peaceful and comprehensive solutions that would strengthen security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
The call comes amid continued concerns over security in key shipping lanes, which are critical to global trade and energy supplies.
